Fray De Montesionos Museum In The Dominican Republic.

Funded by the Mexican Government as a gift to the people of the Dominican Republic, this three-story steel and concrete structure overlooks the Bay of Santo Domingo. The museum is in honor of Fray de Montesinos, the first spokesman against the injustices inflicted upon the native indians.

The building houses open and articulated exhibit spaces, public halls for special events, terraces and look-outs. The main featured exhibit in the building is one of Montesinos' sermons on an engraved marble plaque that looks out over the bay and the ships coming into port.
